Principal's Message

As a system, our goal is to optimize learning and achievement for all students.
To this end we believe that:
ยท Leaning is optimized in a safe, caring and inclusive environment
ยท All students can achieve to a high standard
ยท All staff can teach and support students to a high standard
ยท High expectations and early intervention are essential
ยท Staff can articulate what and why they teach or support students the way they do
ยท Collective responsibility and collaboration are critical in optimizing learning for
all
As a staff we have, and continue to focus on three key priorities: learning, caring and
connecting.

Thank you to everyone who made this year's Music Monday a huge success. A.R. Kaufman students have alot of talent, and it was wonderful to have so many participate. Thank you to the teachers and parent volunteers who dedicated their time, and a special thank you to Mrs. Mushani!

Jump Rope for Heart!clip_image001.jpg
Are you Heart Healthy? A.R. Kaufman students are raising money for the Canadian Heart and Stroke Foundation with our annual Jump Rope/Hoops for Heart day. On May 10th, all of the students will spend some time outside or in the gym jumping with jump ropes, and moving with hoola-hoops  as a reminder of how important staying active is to having a healthy heart.
Please consider sending a donation for the Canadian Heart and Stroke Foundation with your child on May 10th. Together, we can make this the most successful fundraiser yet!

Grade 7 & 8
Sports
Our Intermediate and Junior classes are getting ready for Track and Field. Students will be learning about the various track and field events in their phys. ed classes, and competing in those events at the end of May. There will be Divisional Track Meets at University Stadium, where students will be able to represent ARK in the events they are chosen for. This is a very exiting time for our Thunderbirds!
